Browse Plants

Taxa in this group have distributions that are generally restricted to the North American continent. Plants in these taxa are further divided into the following subgroups: arctic-alpine and boreal-montane species, Cordilleran species, which are restricted to the western mountains, and Pacific coastal species, which are generally restricted to maritime areas on the west coast of North America. Widespread North American species occur in a wide range of habitats spanning arctic, boreal and temperate areas of the continent.
